Mark Painter
Mark N. Painter is an accomplished entrepreneur
focused on the improvement of health care through technology and
services. He has developed or founded companies providing information
services to streamline administration and promote fair and equitable
payment for healthcare providers of all types.
He is President of PRS Urology Service Corporation.
PRS Urology SC is dedicated to providing Urology practices cost
effective solutions tailored to the practice to increase profits.
Among the products and services offered by the company are Practice
Management systems, the ClaimCorrect claim scrubber, Insurance collection
assistance and full service outsourced billing.
Mr. Painter is the CEO of ExaMedIT, Inc. an internet
start-up soon to provide internet based claims scrubbing. The claim
scrubber (ClaimCorrect) will use the PRS database to determine claim
accuracy and provide feedback to the providers to allow submission
of clean accurate claims. The data analyzed by the ClaimCorrect
program will be appropriately protected for Patient Confidentiality
and provided to member users for use in contract negotiation, practice
management analysis and compliance.
He is also the Vice President of Coding and Reimbursement
Information for Physician Reimbursement Systems, Inc. (PRS). Since
co-founding PRS in 1989, Mr. Painter has served as the primary coding
resource for the PRS coders for Hotlines, Coding Manuals such as
the SourceBook, the Internet based application ProcedureInfo.com
and seminars. PRS is providing information and services to various
specialty societies and their members under arrangement with the
societies of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, American
College of Surgeons, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American Urological
Association, American Academy of Neurologic Surgeons and American
Society of Gastroenterologic Endoscopists.
Mr. Painter is CEO of Relative Value Studies, Incorporated
(RVSI) -- a nationally recognized health data firm and think tank
established in 1983. RVSI is best known for the development of all
data and editorial content of Relative Values for Physicians (RVP)
published by Ingenix.
Mr. Painter has a solid medical and statistical
background. He has lectured to a variety of groups concerned with
health care reimbursement. Mr. Painter's extensive knowledge of
physician reimbursement issues has allowed him to assist insurance
companies, physicians and their staff members, legal counsel, actuaries,
Specialty Societies and consultants on a daily basis.
Mr. Painter received his B.A. from Grinnell College
at Grinnell, Iowa.
