Dear
LAUS Member:
Most
patients diagnosed with localized prostate cancer today
are curable with radical prostatectomy and/or radiation
therapy to the prostate. There is, however, a subgroup of
patients who are at high risk of failing local treatment.
This population of patients is thus being targeted to ascertain
whether the addition of systemic therapy to standard local
treatment will show an improved outcome.
This
meeting will serve to inform you and your research associates
of the rationale, patient eligibility, and procedures for
the clinical trial.
Sincerely,
Grannum R. Sant MD, FRCS
